SCHAC is authorized by state law to pursue various forms of relief for complainants who have allegations of unlawful discrimination pending before our agency where (1) SCHAC issues a finding of probable cause, and/or (2) the parties seek to resolve the matter administratively. The type of relief that is pursued by either the Commission and/or the parties depends on the merits of the complaint, as well as the harm experienced by the complainant. The different options for relief by area of discrimination include, but are not limited to Employment, Housing, and Public Accommodations.
